Rhino's Youth Media Center Selected as Hub for Indiana Tobacco Cessation
Youth Program
Rhino’s Youth Media Center was picked as one of six regional
hubs for the state’s VOICE program by the Indiana Tobacco Prevention
and Cessation executive board. VOICE is Indiana’s youth movement
against tobacco use that empowers teens to take action against the
marketing practices of the tobacco industry.
It is a two-year $120,000 grant with the opportunity for renewal
for another two years.
Rhino’s will be the hub of VOICE partner meetings, trainings,
conference calls, cluster meetings, and community assessments around
youth tobacco and secondhand smoke issues.
It is a great opportunity for us to share our media successes in
music, art, television, radio, journalism, and other digital media
while working with youth-led anti-tobacco advertising and marketing
activities.
What makes this a particularly exciting project is the opportunity
to orchestrate one event and one training activity for our region
each year.
